Jackson Hole

Location

The cabin is located 8 miles north of Jackson, about halfway between the town of Jackson and the tiny town of Moose in a sleepy residential community. Our property has an amazing view of the Teton Range. The winter brings snow that covers the ground and you’ll see moose, mule deer, coyotes, and foxes on the property. Elk migrate through the area in May and again in October, you can often see 50+ elk in the neighborhood during their migration.

The town of Jackson

Jackson has a population of 10,000 with a vibrant arts and music scene. Jackson boasts an amazing number of restaurants from fine dining to casual, three major grocery stores, an arts center, a library, a hospital and art galleries. In the last couple of years a Target Store and REI have opened in Jackson!

Being north of town the cabin is secluded from the tourists that frequent the town, especially Town Square during the summer and ski season. From the cabin you have two ways to get to town, take the highway and go through town, or take the “back road”, Spring Gulch gets you to the west side of town without going through the main part of town.

The Parks

One of the best things about the cabin is it’s proximity to Grand Teton National Park. You can be at the entrance to GTNP in 15 minutes. Perfect for hiking, cross country skiing, or skiing the backcountry. The park road is open to Taggart in the winter so you can even hike to Taggart, a beautiful frozen lake during the winter.

The entrance to Yellowstone National Park is 60 miles from the cabin. But once you get to the YNP entrance, you still have a lot of driving to do, it’s a huge park! A trip to Yellowstone can easily be done in a day, it’s just a very full day! Note YNP closes in the winter.
